The Print Show: Artist Printmakers 1800-1975

Overview

From William Blake's engraving of Chaucer's Canterbury Pilgrims in 1809-10 to Howard Hodgkin's abstract hand-coloured lithographs of the 1970s, the exhibition will spanned 175 years of artist printmakers production and include 128 works by 49 artists, including  Sybil Andrews, Frank Auerbach, Robert Austin, Stanley Roy Badmin, Edward Bawden, Robert Bevan, William Blake, Gerald Brockhurst, Edward Calvert, George Clausen, Prunella Clough, John Copley, Terry Frost, Ethel Gabain, Walter Greaves, Frederick Griggs, Anthony Gross, Patrick Heron, David Hockney, Howard Hodgkin, John Hoyland, Augustus John, Peter Lanyon, Kenneth Martin,  Paul Nash, CRW Nevinson, Ben Nicholson, Eduardo Paolozzi, Bridget Riley, Theodore Roussel, Mabel Royds, Walter Sickert,Stanley Spencer, William Strang, and Graham Sutherland.
